It’s Christmas In July For Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 has made Rose Hill, North Carolina a winter wonderland over the past few days as they begin filming some winter scenes for Iron Man 3. A few previously released set pictures have shown snow-covered Christmas Trees popping up in the background, and now they are going full out with snow and lights. Last week they filmed some scenes in Kenansville, and now the adjacent Rose Hill has been invaded.
Now not too long ago in Rose Hill a whole town was built, but we’re not sure if it is for Iron Man 3 or one of the many other TV shows or movies that are filming in the area. What we do know is that trucks have been rolling in and crew signs have blocked off part of Rose Hill. The Iron Man 3 crew has been negotiating with Rose Hill officials since last year. Most of the filming will take place at night and there is concern that all the lights will disturb residents. There have been a few complaints so far, but the community is overall very happy with what is going on. Filming is Rose Hill will run up to two months.
WECT reports that a meet-and-great dinner took place last week where members of the town and business owners got to meet the crew. There is also a water tower collapse scene set to be filmed. It looks like that one will be filmed in Rose Hill, but no official word yet.
