ITEM 47′s Titus Welliver Will Appear On AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

titusSince Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been on, fans have been wondering if or when the characters we were introduced to in Item 47 would be making an appearance. If anything Marvel has done seemed to tie into the series, it was the S.H.I.E.L.D.-centric short featuring two people getting hold of some Chitauri tech.Well today Marvel has revealed that at least one Agent from the short will be making the leap to TV. Agent Blake (Titus Welliver) will appear in the series’ sixth episode.

Marvel posted the official synopsis for episode 6, FZZT, revealing the special guest appearance:

“FZZT” – When floating bodies turn up, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D must hunt down an elusive killer. No one is safe–not even the team.

Guest starring are Titus Welliver as Agent Blake, Vincent Laresca as Tony Diaz, Robert Maffia as Baker, David Michael Paul as Justin, Rick Gifford as Adam Cross, Thomas Robie as scout #1, Trevor Larcom as scout #2, Caleb Burgess as scout #3, Jake Brennan as scout #4 and Troy Glass as scout #5.

While Item 47 was mainly about Bennie (Jesse Bradford) and Claire (Lizzy Caplan) going on a crime spree with the Chitauri gun they found, Agent Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez) and Agent Blake (Welliver) did play big parts. At the end of the short Bennie and Claire become Agents themselves, with Claire being Agent Blake‘s assistant, so maybe we’ll see them later this season. What do you think about Item 47 finally tying into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

As soon as this article was being written it was revealed that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been picked up for a full season. I don’t think that’s a big surprise, but now it’s official.
