Hugh Jackman Steals Magneto’s Spotlight In New DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Posters
Two new posters for Bryan Singer‘s X-Men inbetweequel, Days of Future Past, have been released. The new posters for the film feature the two Magnetos (Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence). While those are four big stars that deserve the movie poster treatment, it seems that one star shines brighter than the rest.
Empire Online debuted the two new posters featuring the four stars, but it’s Hugh Jackman who gets top billing. In fact, he gets the only billing. Even on the Magneto poster Jackman‘s name is emblazoned above the film’s title. Jackman‘s Wolverine has been the star of the X-Men films since day one basically, but this is an entirely new level of Wolverine love from Fox. To make up for that, you can check out a young Magneto image that the official X-Men Twitter page recently released.
The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past — to save our future.
