Hugh Jackman Recounts The Time He Went SNIKT! A Little Too Close To His Danger Room
Last year Hugh Jackman revealed that he nearly broke his neck while filming the train scene in James Mangold‘s The Wolverine, but now the actor has recounted a story of an injury that would have been far, far worse. While appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Jackman said that he nearly cut off his manhood with his super sharp Wolverine claws.
While most talk shows have actors sharing humorous stories about their most recent movies, Jackman recounted what could have been a rather horrific experience while filming a nude scene for The Wolverine. While the actor asked for the set to be closed while he went buff for a short sequence, every female member of the crew (and probably a few guys) were on hand to see what Wolverine was really packing:
There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set. I ran round the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there. I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh – it was just the inner thigh thankfully! The metal claws had to go – you can’t have bits and pieces flying off!
Luckily for Jackman, and his wife, he only nicked his thigh. Despite the near miss, the actor said he “quite enjoyed” being nude on set and found it to be very freeing. That’s one bit of Wolverine‘s anatomy that probably isn’t laced with Adamantium and would take quite a while to heal even with a healing factor. Days of Future Past seemed to have gone off without a hitch for Jackman, so hopefully he can make it through Age of Apocalypse and the third Wolverine solo movie without incident. What do you think about Jackman‘s comments?
