Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, And James McAvoy Talk DAYS OF FUTURE PAST And X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

x-menWhile we wait for the final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past to debut later tonight, a 20 minute Q&A session from Yahoo! Movies has hit to tide us over for a little while. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and X-Men mega-star Hugh Jackman all took part in a special discussion about the upcoming inbetweequel directed by Bryan Singer and what the future holds for the X-Men franchise. You can go ahead and watch the full thing below, but there are a few things worth pointing out.

While Jackman has some knowledge about the Days of Future Past comic book storyline, McAvoy and Fassbender haven’t done much more than flip through and look at the pictures. It seems the guys were too busy on the set shooting each other with BB guns instead of reading comics. On the more serious side of things, Fassbender said that he would like to see Magneto get his own spinoff movie, even though the script for the originally planned Magneto spinoff was incorporated into First Class. While that is something that could possibly happen in the future, X-Men: Apocalypse is something that will definitely happen. McAvoy and Fassbender don’t know anything about the upcoming film, but Jackman was able to get some info out of Singer thanks to a little help from his son:

I know a little bit about it actually. You know Bryan Singer doesn’t like to talk about anything [until] after a couple of drinks. So I said ‘What’s going to happen?’ And out it came. My son happened to be at that dinner. My son came out to dinner and he started talking about X-Men: Apocalypse, which centers on a particular part of history. Well, it doesn’t center but it starts there. He was talking about all those characters and Oscar, who’s a particular buff of that particular period of history, started saying ‘Bryan, none of that is right actually.’ And Bryan turned to me and said, ‘I think Oscar Jackman just named the villain of X-Men: Apocalypse.’

You can hear a lot more from the trio, like how Jackman has worn the yellow and blue costume for his wife, by watching the full video below. You can keep it tuned here at CBT for the latest trailer for Days of Future Past when it hits later tonight.
