House of Gold and Bones #1 Review

“Trapped in an alternate reality, the Human must make his way to the House of Gold & Bones as he is chased by a crazed mob, and taunted by mysterious ally, Allen. What the Human discovers on his journey will either be his salvation . . . or his destruction.”

Inspired by his album of the same name Corey Taylor (of Slipknot and Stone Sour fame) brings a bizarre yet thrilling ride with this new comic. Reminiscent of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman stories at time Taylor has created a world all of his own. I truly enjoyed what this comic was and although it had touches of other stories I’ve read it was a unique and thrilling read all on its own. A four part mini-series by Dark Horse that I’m definitely going to keep reading. Small tip for those of you Stone Sour fans, reading the comic at the same time as listening to the album is awesome.
