Has Peter Dinklage’s Role In Days Of Future Past Been Revealed?

dinklage bannerThings have been moving pretty fast since Peter Dinklage was announced for the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past by director Bryan Singer. Many jumped to the conclusion that the Game of Thrones actor would be playing Wolverine’s Alpha Flight partner Puck, but that was quickly shot down as Variety reported he would be playing the movie’s main antagonist. Today it seems MTV Geek may have an idea who he’ll be playing.

MTV reports they have a tipster who want to remain anonymous, but is “extremely reliable” who can tentatively confirm that Dinklage will be playing Bolivar Trask. The name may not ring a bell, but Trask is the inventor of the mutant hunters known as Sentinels. We know the big bots are going to feature in the film, so it only makes sense we see how they came into being. Trask was created by Lee and Kirby back in the 1960s. He was an anthropologist and inventor who saw the mutant population as a threat. As we all know the robots went crazy and have become one of the X-Men‘s most deadly foes. Trask had a change of heart in the comics, so we might see Dinklage playing a conflicted antagonist. Again, this is just a rumor for now so take it with the required salt dosage. What do you think though? Do you like Dinklage for Trask in Days of Future Past?
