ford bannerHarrison Ford is in the news a lot today. The actor is featured in a brand new trailer for the upcoming Ender’s Game adaptation, he’s shared his thoughts on another outing as everyone’s favorite archeologist, and Sylvester Stallone confirmed that Ford would be appearing in the next Expendables flick. Read on for all the Ford news you can handle.

A new trailer for Gavin Hood‘s Ender’s Game adaption has hit. It is the second full-length trailer for the film based on the highly popular Orson Scott Card sci-fi novel. Harrison Ford brings Colonel Hyrum Graff to life in the film featuring Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley,Abigal Breslin, and Viola Davis. It will land in theaters November 1st.

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Ford has also been talking about possibly putting back on the whip and fedora for a fifth outing as Indiana Jones. Fans weren’t too thrilled with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but most would still like to see Indy redeem himself on the big screen. Ford spoke with The Telegraph (via Superherohype) about a fifth film:

We’ve seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it’s perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn’t necessarily have to kick as much ass. To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do.

Disney bought Lucasfilm, but before the big buyout Lucas was reportedly batting around ideas for a new Indy film. He has since said he has retired from big budget movies, so the franchise’s future is in question. I’m sure if Ford really wants to do one more film he’ll start talking to the people he needs to so he can try to get something going. That is if it’s at all possible considering Lucas‘ retirement.

And the final stop on our Harrison Ford train is the news that he is locked in for Sylvester Stallone‘s Expendables 3. The director took to Twitter earlier today to reveal that Bruce Willis would not come back for the threequel but Ford would indeed be appearing. Sly‘s second Tweet was seemingly aimed at Willis.

What do you think about the batch o’Ford news? Do you hope Indy gets another adventure? Will Harrison Ford, Sly Stallone, Jason Statham, Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and many many others make you want to watch a third Expendables?
