Halle Berry’s Pregnancy Will Change Her Role In Days Of Future Past Slightly
Halle Berry announced she and fiance Olivier Martinez were expecting what would be Berry‘s second child earlier this month. This announcement left many X-fans wondering whether Berry would drop out of Bryan Singer‘s Days of Future Past. According to a quick chat with the BBC, Berry says she is still a go to play Storm.
The BBC spoke with the Oscar-winning actress while she was promoting her new film, The Call. She revealed that the film would “shoot around the bump” and that the script would not be changed. However, her next quote seems to contradict the statement about the script changes:
One thing is for sure, with another baby on the way mama cannot take time off. Storm probably won’t be as badass as she was going to be because we won’t be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that. She’ll be different than we originally planned her to be but I still think she’ll be an integral part of this new X-Men movie.
If the character is different than they originally planned, that seems like a change to me. Many fans were holding out hope that Berry would not appear in the film, seeing her as the weakest link in the X-Family. Whether she just didn’t appear or all the time hopping allowed for a recast didn’t matter to most. So it turns out she will still be going strong as Storm. What do you think about this new development?
