Halle Berry “90% Sure” She’ll Be Back As Storm In Days Of Future Past

stormIt seems everyone that has ever been in a X-Men movie is going to be appearing in the time-hopping Days of Future Past. We know that Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and a few others are already officially confirmed as returning. Now Halle Berry is pretty sure she’ll be joining the old gang too.

Shadow and Act, via Bleeding Cool, caught up with Berry and asked her about returning as Storm. In the past the actress has been upfront about the possibility of returning, saying she might be back but hadn’t really heard anything. Director Bryan Singer said he would like to work with her again, but many thought that was a polite way of passing on asking her back. It seems that Berry knows something now though:

She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too.

I can’t say, and neither could she say that it’s definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn’t get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it’s highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point.

So it seems like you can check another name off the list. The only big cast members left are Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus). Berry was one of those that fans wouldn’t care too much about if she didn’t return. Many see her as one of the negative aspects of the X-films, especially with the infamous “Do you know what happens when a toad gets struck by lighting” line. What do you think about Berry returning? Who are you hoping is confirmed next?
