Guy Pearce In Final Talks To Be In Iron Man 3
Guy Pearce is still promoting his new film Lockout and his next film, Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus, but if things hold up he’ll be promoting the next Iron Man as well. Pearce is in final talks to join Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Kingsley in the next Iron Man film.
Word has it that Pearce will be taking on the role of Aldrich Killian. Shane Black is helming this outing, which is loosely based on the Iron Man: Extremis story. Extremis influenced the first Iron Man film. This movie will focus on the spread of a virus through nanotechnology. In the comics, Killian co-created the Extremis tech that Iron Man adopts after Killian sells it to terrorists.
RDJ, Kingsley, and Pearce will be joined by old hands: Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Scarlett Johansson are also coming back for the third outing. Disney has Iron Man 3 scheduled for May 3, 2013.
