No It’s Not Gordon, But Donal Logue Is up For A Role In GOTHAM
Wednesday a rumor started circulating that Donal Logue was in talks with Fox to star in their Batman prequel show, Gotham. Latino-Review reported the actor was made an offer and that offer was for the part of Jim Gordon. Fans thought that was an odd choice considering Gotham was supposed to focus on a younger Jim Gordon, and Logue himself said on his Twitter that he had not been in talks for Gordon. It seemed that he did know a little bit about the show though. Well now Latino-Review has updated their story and admitted they were wrong about the part but not the fact Logue was in talks for a role.
According to the site, Logue is indeed in talks to join the show that will begin filming its pilot a little later this year. They were wrong about Jim Gordon but know they believe he is being offered the part of Detective Harvey Bullock. The role of Bullock is described as a man in his 40s who serves as a mentor to Gordon. This makes much more sense and many folks mentioned that Bullock would be a better fit for the actor when the news initially hit.
Logue even weighed in on the rumors on Twitter again. Instead of shooting it down, this time he only says “It’s only bad if they ain’t talking about you.” With Fox talking about Gotham story details and putting the series on the fast track, we should be hearing some official casting soon. What do you think about Logue being Bullock? Is that some casting you could get behind?
