Get Up Close And Personal With The Green Goblin In The First Look At His AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Bust

by

GoblinThe Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to hit theaters later this year and the approach to the characters has some fans a bit worried. Specifically, the look of Paul Giamatti’s Rhino and the penultimate Spider-Man villain Green Goblin. The Dino-Bot Rhino will have to wait for a bit, as I’m here to bring you news of Dane DeHaan’s take on the the big baddie. First off, it looks as though they are going to skip over Norman Osborn for the green ghoul and go right to Harry for the film. We’ve seen a few glances of the villain in the numerous trailers we’ve seen, and to say it’s a unique look is an understatement. In some shots, he looks like a cross between Billy Idol and a Power Ranger. Worrisome indeed.

This evening, a video has surfaced that shows off a new bust of the Green Goblin from the film. As you can see from the screen shot, and from the video below, the character will have goblin-like features: pointed ears, hooked nose, elongated shin, etc. It is certainly a much different take that the previous version we saw in Sam Raimi’s film, where the character wore a suit of armor and a helmet. This is a much more down-to-earth approach. The video does state that this may not be the final look of the bust, but it does give us a very good idea of what to expect from the character int he film.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will see Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Sally Field reprise their roles, with Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore and BJ Novak joining in on the mayhem. What do you think? Does this change your opinion on the character? Sound off below!
