Galactus’ Hunger Will Expand Beyond The 616 Universe This July
Age of Ultron will have much larger implication than we first thought. Marvel held one of their Next Big Thing live blog and conference call today where they revealed the long teased Hunger four part miniseries will be taking place in the Ultimate Universe and will see the 616 Galactus visiting the neighborhood.
The series will be written by Jonathan Hale Fialkov with Leonard Kirk. The story will spill over into the pages of Fialkov‘s Ultimate Comics Ultimates and Brian Bendis‘ Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. We saw a rift left open in time and space at the end of Age of Ultron #10, and Galactus will use it to pull himself to another universe in search of planets to devour. From there the battle is on as Rick Jones sees the big behemoth approaching and has to rush to earth to warn the heroes. Rick Jones will be a big player, but so will Miles Morales. The Ultimate Spider-Man crossed over to the 616 Universe to team up with Peter Parker, so he’s got some knowledge as to what is up. Fialkov also promised we’ll see a lot of new character showing up in the Ultimate Universe we haven’t seen before. All heck will break loose and there may even be a battle between Galactus and Gah Lak Tus. We’ll have to wait and see how it unfolds, but the Ultimate Universe is about to explore their cosmic side in a whole new way.
