Gail Simone Takes Over For Gail Simone On Batgirl
By Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell on Dec 21, 2012 with Comments 1
It’s a Christmas miracle. Gail Simone was fired via email by the new Batgirl editor and told her services are no longer needed. Well, it turns out here services are needed. Simone Tweeted just a short time ago that she is the new writer of Batgirl and it’s not a hoax. The writer received a tidal wave of internet support after her departure. It seems her vocal fans and some new blood in the DC offices have caused the editorial decision to be reversed. This is great news for Batgirl fans. Simone seems bulletproof at this point, so if I had to guess, I’d expect her to have freer reign on her stories. DC rehired her, but every comics publisher and their grandma were throwing offers at the writer. If the DC job security isn’t a given now, she has plenty of other opportunities. What do you think about the reversal?
Here’s a thing.Gail Simone is the new Batgirl writer.
