From Kicking-Ass To Being Fast: Aaron Taylor-Johnson Is Officially QUICKSILVER In AGE OF ULTRON

by

quicksilverOnly a few months after we first heard the announcement, the news that Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be playing Quicksilver in Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron has finally been made official. The Wrap reports that the actor has finally made the sequel fit into his busy schedule.

The Wrap says the Taylor-Johnson has found time in his schedule to play Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver. The actor will be doing some promotion and press for his other film, Godzilla, when Age of Ultron starts filming but all parties have found some free time to make everything line up. He will be joined by fellow Godzilla co-star Elizabeth Olsen, who will be playing his sister the Scarlet Witch. With Fox and Marvel both owning the rights to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, and Bryan Singer using the silver speedster in Days of Future Past, Whedon and Marvel will have to change things up since they can’t say the ‘mutant‘ word or talk about the sibling’s father, Magneto. It will be interesting to see how Whedon uses the character compared to Bryan Singer. Days of Future Past’s Quicksilver (played by another Kick-Ass alum, Evan Peters) is said to be a very, very small part while Whedon has said the super powered siblings will play a very large part in his film. What do you think about Taylor-Johnson being Quicksilver? I mean we knew it already, but now it’s all official and stuff.
