From Fighting THANOS To Running From Dinos: Chris Pratt Closing In On The JURASSIC WORLD Lead

by

chris prattThe Star-Lord may soon be coming back to earth to take on some dinosaurs. Chris Pratt has been rumored to be in talks for the lead of director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, but now the actor is saying it really is close to happening. Everyone from Josh Brolin to Idris Elba was thrown around for the lead of the new Jurassic Park film, but it’s the quickly rising star who will be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy that seems to have landed the gig.

Speaking with News.com.au (via ScreenRant), Pratt said of the upcoming movie “I know I want to do it and I know the director (Colin Trevorrow) wants me to do it so now it’s just a matter of everyone coming together and making sure it can work.” Pratt’s dance card is quickly filling up, so hopefully the schedules line up. Pratt credits his new opportunities to losing a bunch of weight to get in shape for Guardians. He said he doubts he’d be getting the offers he’s getting if he was still the fat funnyman from Parks and Rec. If he signs on for Jurassic World, we might be seeing less of him on the hit NBC show as well.

Right now Bryce Dallas Howard is the only confirmed casting of Jurassic World, set to be the film’s female human lead. The film will pick up in real-time after Jurassic Park (22 years later) and will not be a reboot. Like the other films, the cast will include both adults and children. It’s set to be relased June 12, 2015. Do you hope Pratt books his trip to Jurassic World?
