Four Names Emerge For Doctor Doom In The FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot
The members of Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four have been cast, but the movie still needs a villain. There is no greater threat to the Fantastic Four than Victor Von Doom, so it makes sense the reboot will see Doctor Doom going up against the team yet again. There was a rumor that Trank and Fox were searching for a female Doom, but it seems that was just a bad rumor. The Wrap is reporting that four rather interesting names are currently on the studio’s shortlist.
According to the site, Trank and the studio have narrowed their search down to four actors: Sam Riley (Maleficent), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), and Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd, Harry Potter). Jack Huston was also said to be on the list at one point, but it’s being said he is “no longer believed to be in the mix.” Those are four very different and very interesting names. All four actors are roughly in their 30s, so they would be slightly older than Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell‘s Fantastic Four team. A slightly older Doom is said to be a little more menacing than someone younger or even the same age as the main protagonists. With filming still set for the end of the month, hopefully we’ll hear something official soon. What do you think about the list? Who would you like to see as the new Doom?
