Forget WONDER WOMAN Adrianne Palicki Might Be Holding Out For SUPERGIRL

by

PalickiSupergirlMost people know the story by now. David E. Kelly is tasked with developing a Wonder Woman TV show for NBC, casts Adrianne Palicki as the Amazon Princess, the Pilot is shot, and it ultimately goes no where. It was a bit of a shock to most of the creators of the show, who seemed to get the indication the show would be picked up, when NBC decided to scrap the project. Palicki described the feeling as being “devastated when it didn’t go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking.” Although she did say in retrospect it’s probably for the best it didn’t get picked up, and that she is just happy she got paid to wear the costume.

While you can check out Palicki’s full comments by heading over to IGN, it was her answer to the site about another question that peak interest. When asked if she had received any superhero movie scripts lately Palicki remained mum. However, when she was told about fan desire to see her in a superhero role she responded with a smile, “I’m waiting for Supergirl.”

While this could be playfully banter, there is a possibility she might actually me holding out for the role. She played a version of the character in Smallville, and has stated in the past she would like to play the character again. Man Of Steel hinted that Kara could be a part of the universe, and David Goyer’s prequel comic for the film even showed Kara on Krypton. I for one wouldn’t mind seeing Palicki put on the Supergirl cape, but like with most things in the comic book movie world we’ll just have to wait and see.
