FLASH Pilot Casts Barry Allen’s Mom And It’s Said To Be A Recurring Role
The Flash pilot has added one of the final pieces of it’s expansive and rather impressive cast. Deadline is reporting that Michelle Harrison (CW’s Emily Owens, M.D.) has landed the role of Nora Allen, the murdered mother of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). While we all expected to see Nora show up in the pilot, it sounds like we’ll be seeing her more than once.
The site reports that Harrison‘s role is set to be a guest star/recurring role in the Arrow spin-off. Nora was murdered while Barry was still a child and his father was framed for the crime. That spurs Barry‘s lifelong pursuit of justice and his career as a crime scene investigator. Barry wants to find his mother’s killer and vindicate his father. While Harrison may well bite the bullet in the pilot, she’ll pop back up later in the season. We can only assume that means Barry will have flashbacks, like Oliver Queen, or he occasional sees visions of his long dead mother. What do you think about the casting? Flash will begin filming very soon and could appear on our TVs as early as this fall.
