First Trailer For The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Hits
The first teaser trailer for Peter Jackson‘s Hobbit sequel has been released, and it features a few familiar faces. Of course Bilbo, Gandalf, and the band of dwarves are back but there is also the archer Legolas and the brand new character Tauriel. Orlando Bloom is back and it looks like he’ll get his fair share of the action. There’s also a quick peek at Sylvester McCoy as the loveable wizard Radagast the Brown. We also get the long awaited first glimpse of the dragon Smaug. Benedict Cumberbatch gives the giant beast a voice, but we don’t hear his recognizable tones in the trailer. We do see him check in on his Sherlock co-star though. The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug hits theaters December 13. What do you think of our first look?
The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
