First Look At The New Native American Member Of Jeff Lemire’s JUSTICE LEAGUE
When Jeff Lemire announced that he was moving the Justice League of America to Canada, he also said that he would be introducing a brand new member of the League. The new hero will be a teenage Cree girl from James Bay based on real-life activist Shannen Koostachin. Lemire has been teasing the new hero for a few months, but today our first look at the newest recruit has hit.
When the first cover for relaunched Justice League United #1 hit, the new character was nowhere to be seen. Then a variant cover hit and it featured a character shrouded by shadows. That was our first hint that she would soon be revealed. Now the second cover version of the cover has hit and the shadows have been lifted. This moth’s Previews Magazine features the full solicits for the issue as well as the full cover from Gene Ha. You can see the new character, who still doesn’t have a name, standing next to Martian Manhunter below. And thanks to DC Women Kicking Ass we have a much clearer look at the new Cree hero, which you can see below the covers. With Previews letting the cat out of the bag, we’ll probably be hearing a lot more about this unnamed teen very soon. What do you think about our first look at the Leagues newest member?
