First Look At Jaimie Alexander As Sif On AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D
As Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D continues to try and find it’s footing in the TV game, the show got a shot in the arm a couple weeks ago when it was announced that Jaimie Alexander was going to be doing a guest spot on the show. Alexander will be plucked straight from the Thor movies, and bring Lady Sif to help out Coulson and the gang.
Sif (pictured to the right, next to Lola) will be there to help stop Lorelei, a deadly, flame-tressed vixen from the Thor comics. Lorelei will be played by Elena Satine. Showrunner Jed Whedon expressed his excitement for Alexander’s guest spot, and teased what it might entail. “We always have our radar up for ways to tie our series into the Marvel films and bringing in an Asgardian really cements that connection. Lady Sif comes here on a hunting mission, sent by Odin, to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor’s world.”
Executive Producer Maurissa Tancharoen echoed his excitement, and said that Alexander had the cast and crew in awe. “Jaimie walked onto the set in full Lady Sif regalia just as she looks in the movies, from the huge, mile-high boots to the metal armor and she towered over everyone. It was so striking and impressive, all we could do was stare. It was very cool!”
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently on hiatus, but will be back soon. The episode in which Alexander will be showcased is titled ‘Yes, Men’ and will debut on March 11th. For the latest on all things Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy.
