First Look At Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II: Villains in Paradise
The Robot Chicken TV show has always featured little bits of comic book goodness here and there. However, last year they were went for it all, as they devoted one of their shows to DC characters. The show was well received by fans and even critics earning Seth Green an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance.
With all the accomplishments they had with the first one, it’s not surprise that they will be going for round two. The next installment will mainly focus on the bad guys of the DC Universe and be titled, Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II: Villains in Paradise. Said Green on working with DC again, “The best part about the DC universe is there’s so many characters and there’s so many stories that have happened over the years, and some of them are just crazy. Geoff Johns gave us a fair amount of leeway with the stories that we wanted to tell. It’s gonna become a little bit more of a West Side Story/Romeo and Juliet star-crossed love story.”
As of right now there is no release date for the special, other then it will be released some time in 2014. Also Green hopes to start production on the special in early August. While it’s safe to assume most of the voice actors will be the same nothing has been announced on that front as well.
