First Look At Green Lantern #24: The Start Of Lights Out
DC made quite a splash when they announced the next Green Lantern event would be called Lights Out. The event caused a commotion because the event gets its name from one of the seven Lantern Corps’ power battery being completely destroyed. While we don’t know whether it’s the Green, Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Indigo, or Star Sapphire Corps that cease to exit, we know one of the seven will fall. DC has released a preview of Billy Tan‘s interior art for Green Lantern #24 which kicks off event. Green Lantern writer Robert Venditti commented on the story:
For reasons none of the Lanterns are sure of, the rings have been malfunctioning lately. Enter Relic, a remnant of the universe before ours, who thinks he knows what’s wrong with the rings and has a solution. Unfortunately, ridding the universe of every last Lantern is part of that solution.
The way I describe the story is, it’ll tie together every Lantern of every Corps who has ever appeared in any comic book – ever. It’s an ambitious story, and our editors have been great about letting us take substantial risks with these characters. We’re holding nothing back
Lights Out starts this October. Will you be checking out the next be Green Lantern event? Which Corps do you think gets axed?
