First Look At Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe

You might remember Marvel announcing the miniseries written by Cullen Bunn way back in May. If you don’t, just click here for some words from the writer and artist as well as cover images. The 4 issue series kicks off August 1st and will be a weekly series.

Marvel’s Editor in Chief, Axel Alonso, tweeted pictures of two pages in the series as well as the official cover for issue #3.

Looks to be pretty brutal stuff. Sorry Spidey fans, but your hero probably won’t be avenged. Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe sounds like a promise. I’m sure he’ll get around to other people’s favorite characters soon.

I'm a comic book and movie nerd who loves to share news I find interesting and hope you do as well. I'm a big Doctor Who fan and sci-fi in general. My favorite comic characters you ask? Well Thor, Wolverine, and Daredevil.

  1. Badfast says:

That’s just cold. I hope the story is good behind it. Not just random killing.

  2. MassExecutions says:

So, Deadpool is going to kill them because he is a crazy bad guy?

  3. ncreb says:

    I think it’s all a dream sequence.

  4. THEHAWK says:

I’ll give it a shot. I haven’t read a Marvel or DC comic in about a year, but I’ll give it a look

  5. MassExecutions says:

Also, is Spider-Man always the first to go in these? I guess he wasn’t in the second Punisher one.

  6. ncreb says:

lol I didn’t realize it was an alternate timeline one shot type thing.

  7. Stephen Andrews says:

Well. I’m actually kinda glad it’s happening. Because I’m getting tired of people getting the best of Pool because you know he’ll just come back. It’s time Pool started taking everyone else out…

  8. So Deadpool goes crazy again?!
    If that’s the case…

  9. Anna says:

Spiderman may not be the first to go…did no one notice Wolverines mask in Deadpool’s hand…

  10. Crisis1316 says:

I’m amazed how many comic writers purposely forget Spider-man’s spider-sense just to kill him. If shooting him in the head is all it takes to take him down, a bad guy would’ve done that eons ago. Just plain stupid.

    • Reggy says:

And why would spidey not web up the regenerating mercenary he knows is likely to be concealing weapons and has taken out the fantastic 4? They ain’t small timers. Unfortunately the name of the comic is not Spidey Being Awesome Again. We got like five of those titles coming out monthly already. I say let Deadpool have his fun~

  11. Dredge says:

Spidey’s sense wouldn’t get tripped by DP. Not even god knows what DP is up to?

  12. Shal says:

The Green Goblin created/used a gas that negated Spider-Man’s 6th sense. If Deadpool doused the air with it prior to the preview then it’s a plausible scenario.

  13. Xerion95 says:

ill get the series but it will be sad reading the part where spider-man dies

  14. MarvelKillsTheCreativeSpirit says:

I’m sure it will be fun, I read Punisher kills the Marvel Universe, then they had Wolverine Kills the Marvel Universe…. you just get (unfortunately in most cases for $3.99 vs. 2.99 for many but a few DC titles) more of the same. I dont’ see many attempts at new titles (really at either) but Marvel seems worse about trying to milk 5 titles out of anything or any character that sells (Wolverine is in pretty much every group at this point, amazing how much time he has on his hands….) so this doesn’t suprise me. And this is from someone who actually bought Marvel Zombies 1-5 or whatever.. it’s just something you have to accept. This one looks gorier. That’s probably the only difference between the Punisher, Wolverine and (one-shot “What If”s from years past).
