Filming For FANTASTIC FOUR Begins Early Next Year
The Fantastic Four movie has been in a bit of a state of influx since it was announced. Josh Trank was chosen as the director, and we have had a few casting rumors such as Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, but nothing has been confirmed other than the release date which WAS in the March 6th of 2015, but then got changed to June 19th of the same year. Rumors had the movie kicking off production in October of this year, however that month has come and gone and nothing has happened.
Now there is a new report that says the film will start its principle photography early next year. The info comes from NOLA.Com, and they have heard that the movie will kick off shooting on February 10th. Production is currently scheduled to happen down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The change in production date gives the studio, and film makers, time to narrow down casting on the film. Like stated above we know that there are front runners such as Jordan, who is said to be up for the role of The Human Torch. As well as those like Miles Teller and Saoirse Ronan who are just rumored for the roles of Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm respectively.
With filming expected to kick off early next year, I wouldn’t be too surprised if we got a casting announcement or two before the years end. However, with no plot outline to let us know the villain or story, it will probably be relegated to the four main roles of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm.
