Emilia Clarke Set To Play Sarah Connor In TERMINATOR:GENESIS
Not surprisingly, it’s been revealed that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has signed on to play the lead female role in the reboot of the Terminator franchise. Earlier this week, we learned that Clarke was the front runner for the part, going up against Brie Larson. For the past several years, Clarke has filled the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the hugely successful Game of Thrones series on HBO. Alan Taylor, who has worked with Clarke on the series, will be taking the reigns of Terminator: Genesis. Taylor’s most recent film, Thor: The Dark World was a big success for Marvel.
Emilia Clarke will likely be joined by Jason Clarke, who is currently in final talks to take on the role of John Connor, the older, futuristic son of Sarah. Arnold Schwarzenegger is said to be returning to take on the iconic cyborg role as well. It has been rumored, not shockingly, that time travel will once again play a large part in the plot. More actors are likely to be announced soon, so stay tuned!
