Drew Powell Is The Latest Addition To The GOTHAM Cast
It seems the final roles are being filled for Fox‘s Gotham pilot as filming gets read to begin in a few months. The last person we heard had joined the already impressive cast was Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, the ruthless gangster who is the boss of a young Oswald Cobblepott. Well now Ms. Mooney gets a second in command with the addition of actor Drew Powell.
Deadline is reporting that Powell (The Mentalist, Southland) has been cast in a guest/recurring role for the series about a young Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) navigating through the corrupt and crazy world of Gotham City with his partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Powell will play a character named Butch Gilzean, a “deceptively clever and ambitious second-in-command to sadistic gangster boss Fish Mooney.” While Deadline doesn’t say this, I’d bet we might see Gilzean butting heads with young Cobblepott as he tries to climb his way up Gotham‘s crime ladder. We’ll have to wait and see on that one, but what do you think about Powell being cast as Mooney‘s right-hand man?
