Donal Logue Cast As GOTHAM’s Harvey Bullock
Donal Logue has been rumored for Fox‘s Gotham series for a while now. There was an erroneous report that the Sons of Anarchy star would be playing Detective Jim Gordon, but that was later amended and the actor was said to be in talks for Detective Harvey Bullock. Well today TV Line has confirmed that Logue will indeed be Bullock in the upcoming drama.
TV Line has learned that Logue has officially signed on to play the other famous cop in the world of Batman. The character description fits right along with what we heard a few weeks back. The site describes Bullock as “a well-known DC character who makes his live-action debut in Gotham, is Gordon’s partner and mentor. He plays loose with police procedure, but he gets results — and he does it with old-school, forceful panache.“
Logue will join Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon, Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth), Zabryna Guevara (Captain Essen), and Erin Richards (Jim‘s fiancee Barbara Kean). Gotham has been ordered straight to series, so we could possibly see the pilot penned by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) and directed by Danny Cannon later this year. We’ve talked about Logue a lot before, but what do you think about it now that things are all official like?
