Doctor Who Series 7 News Roundup - Comic Book Therapy

Doctor Who Series 7 News Roundup

The Doctor Who series 7 press screening of Asylum of the Daleks has wrapped. Besides reactions from the series opener(which were extremely positive), a whole slew of Doctor Who news has come out of the Q&A panel afterwards. There still isn’t an official announcement on the air date, but many are claiming it will be September 1st. What we do know is the titles of the episodes in the first half of the season.

First off, SFX is reporting that Asylum of the Daleks featured a new opening credits sequence. The logo has been “revamped” and there are no more “swooshy cast credits.”  You can check out the pictures for the first three episodes in the series further down, but here is a rundown of the episode titles. Keep in mind that the titles could change. There have been changes after the original announcements in the past, so nothing is set in stone until it’s transmitted.

Episode 1- Asylum of the Daleks

This is the episode with every type of Dalek from the shows history.

Episode 2- Dinosaurs On A Spaceship

Pretty self explanatory

Episode 3- A Town Called Mercy

This is the western episode that has been teased for the past few months.

Episode 4- The Power of Three

This episode is reportedly going to feature UNIT and an invasion of Earth.

Episode 5- The Angels take Manhattan

This is Rory and Amy’s departure episode. It will of course feature the Weeping Angels in a New York location. Earlier this summer the Who crew took New York by storm as they filmed scenes in Central Park.

Episode 6- As of yet untitled Christmas Episode

This will be the introduction to Jenna-Louise Coleman’s character who will become the new companion.

The remaining episodes, 7-14, will be shown in early 2013. And finally, we have some new images released by the Doctor Who Tumblr from the first three episodes of series 7. Several appear to be screenshots from the recently released trailer, but there are some new ones in the mix.
