Did Dan Slott Spoil The Identity Of Superior Spider-Man?
By Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell on Oct 25, 2012 with Comments 4
Dan Slott has been very tight lipped on details for his upcoming Marvel NOW! book Superior Spider-Man. As we know, Amazing Spider-Man is preparing to end with issue #700 and a new hero will take up the webshooters to fight all forms of evil in Peter Parker’s place. The secrecy surrounding the final issues of Amazing Spider-Man and the start of Spectacular Spider-Man may have been broken by Dan Slott himself.
As you may know, Dan Slott is a prolific tweeter. Answering fan questions and teasing his books, Slott seems to thrive in that social media corner of the web. The secrecy he has asked retailers to keep about the books and the identity of Superior Spider-Man may have just been broken because of Slott’s love of tweeting. In what was undoubtedly supposed to be a private message to Ryan Stegman, Slott may have revealed the identity of the new Spider-Man. Here’s the tweet without the spoilers:
If you want to read the unedited tweet, you can click here for that image. If you’re not sure who that is, Google Spider-Man and their name and click on the wikipedia link that should be on top. So, do you think Slott slipped up and spoiled the mystery he’s been trying to keep for so long or has this been a planned joke to get us talking about the book even more?

Wow. But how can it be Miguel O’Hara? Hmmm
hmmm… they met once, so maybe….
I definitely think Slott slipped up. Poor guy. He probably wants to shoot himself right now. I predict he’ll be much quieter on Twitter leading up to issue #700. If it truly is who the tweet makes it out to be then I’ll be surprised. Wait and see Spidey fans. Wait and see.
