Devon Aoki Joins ARROW In Pivotal Role
After a rather so-so start, the CW’s Arrow really took off and has been soaring ever since. The series is continually among the network’s top performing in regards to ratings and comic book fans are quite pleased with how the characters are treated and how the stories are being told. Later this year, we’ll see the very first spin-off from Arrow as well, with Grant Gustin set to lead The Flash. With Arrow headed into it’s third season, they are adding more and more new characters to the mix and this afternoon, a pivotal role was cast.
Devon Aoki, who many know as Miho in the first Sin City, has joined the series in a major recurring role. Aoki will fill the role of Tatsu Yamashiro, better known as Katana. The character first appeared in the Green Arrow comics and is a Japanese martial arts expert who is known for wielding the deadly weapon that she takes her name from. Tatsu will be featured in flashbacks as one of Oliver’s mentors and a critical influence in his journey to become The Arrow.
Arrow, which also stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, John Barrowman and Colton Hanes, will return to The CW this fall.
