By now, everyone knows that there was a big death in Batman Inc. #8. It sent the internet into a tizzy and even garnered national news attention. With Damian Wayne now off to the big bat cave in the sky, many people were left to wonder about the future of the Batman and Robin book. Well worry no longer, CBR found out the answer.
Batman and Robin will continue on as a team-up book called Batman And… The world may know about Damian’s death, but it will take the Bat Family a little longer to hear about it. The fallout starts in the final issue of Batman and Robin. Issue #18 will be an all-silent book. After what promises to be a touching issue, writer Peter Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason will have a new guest star every issue to help Batman through the difficult time. CBR revealed the first five team-ups:
#19 — Batman and Red Robin
#20 — Batman and Red Hood
#21 — Batman and Batgirl
#22 — Batman and Catwoman
#23 — Batman and Nightwing
So there you have it Bat fans. The end of one chapter marks the beginning of another. I’m sure it won’t be too long before Bruce finds himself another Robin, so enjoy the different team-ups while you can. What do you think of the new approach? Any combination you’re particularly looking forward to?
