DC’s May Solicit Highlights Include A Time-Traveling Batman Beyond, Aquaman Fighting Swamp Thing, Wally West, And More

by

dc logo bannerThe full DC solicitations for May have been released, and there are a few surprising developments coming up in the New 52 Universe. We’ve scoured the full solicits and fulled out a few of the most noteworthy items. The weekly series Futures End promises a time-traveling Batman Beyond and an unrecognizable world that is only set 5 years from current DC continuity. The first four issues of Futures End will have a few big, and unannounced surprises. Chief among those in the inclusion of Grifter, from Jim Lee‘s Wild CATS, being front and center on issue #1.

Aquaman #31 will see the king of the sea squaring off against the king of the green. What makes Swamp Thing want to take down another hero? We’ll have to wait and see. From there, the first Flash issue after the upcoming annual will introduce us to the New 52 version of Wally West properly. Then Superboy #31 will feature the son of Superman returning to the present. Just in time for Futures End? Who knows. Then Frankenstein and Batman team up as the hunt for Damian Wayne‘s body continues. And finally, Red Hood and the Outlaws will run into the old Lobo. We’ve already been told that this Lobo on the cover isn’t the true Lobo and that the skinner, model-like Lobo is the real deal. What’s up with that?
