DC’s Injustice: Gods Among Us Adds Two New Characters

Just announced at Comic Con was the addition of two more heroes to DC and NetherRealm Studios’ new DC fighting game. The game had previously announced characters such as Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Flash, and Wonder Woman.
Well, to that already impressive list you can add Nightwing and Cyborg. The Verge is reporting that they were able to play around a little bit with the game and they tell us how the two characters handle. Nightwing’s fighting style is acrobatic and weapons-based. He uses his staff for an extended reach to knock people around. He is also “nimbler than other fighters and can leap out of danger when backed in a corner.” Nigthwing’s staff can be split into two pieces with the press of a button, increasing speed and jump height. The downside is that it decreases his range.
Cyborg, on the other hand, is a hand-to-hand combatant. He also has long-range attacks with lasers and missiles. Cyborg also has a special- health regeneration. With a button press Cyborg regains health requiring the opponent to stay on the offensive.
These are two pretty popular characters and welcome additions to the already impressive looking game. Comic Con just kicked off, but I’m sure we’ll hear a little more about this in the coming days. The game comes out in 2013.
