DC Posts A Preview Of The Man Of Steel Tie-In Comic Featuring Supergirl, Then Deletes It

by

Man-of-Steel_bannerCuriouser and curiouser. Earlier today DC posted a preview of a Man of Steel digital tie-in comic you can get if you preorder the Blu-ray combo pack for the movie at Wal*Mart. It was a four page preview of one of the four stories you’ll receive. Interestingly enough, it is written by David Goyer (the writer of the movie’s script). Simple enough, it looks pretty good…wait a minute! Is that Kara Zor-El? The tie-in comic is telling a story about the person we know better as Supergirl. Some people saw this as a sign that Kara might be in the Man of Steel sequel, but I think it’s a bit premature for that kind of talk. Regardless of speculation, the comic confirms that Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl exists in Goyer, Zack Snyder, and Chris Nolan‘s Superman world. DC might have jumped the gun and posted early or wasn’t ready for the speculation that came with the preview, but they have since deleted the story. Luckily Google caches pages. Here’s everything they had on the site. We don’t know how the story plays out, but the preview pages are pretty exciting. What do you think? Is this a big clue or just a simple tie-in comic?
