David Goyer Wants To Try And Bring Wonder Woman To The Big Screen
It seems like all of the DC Comic movie adaptations that have been successful have had a lot of variables in common. One of those variables is screenwriter David Goyer. Goyer is busy promoting his new series, Da Vinci’s Demons, and stopped by Reddit to do a chat. While a number of questions popped up from Da Vinci’s Demons and even Justice League (which he refused to answer), the one that seem to catch the everyone’s eye when asked which DC character he wanted to work on next he replied, “Hmmm…. Wonder Woman would be cool.”
He also went on to explain why he thought Wonder Woman hasn’t made it to the big screen yet. “I think Wonder Woman is a very difficult character to crack. More difficult than Superman, who is also more difficult than Batman. Also, a lot of people in Hollywood believe that it’s hard to do a big action movie with a female lead. I happen to disagree with that. But that tends to be the prevailing wisdom. Hopefully, that’ll change in the next few years,” said Goyer. Who should play the Amazon Princess? For now, Goyer doesn’t have an opinion on it.
With DC and Warner Brothers waiting to see if Man Of Steel is a success before the move on any other comic book movies, you would have to think that one of the first ones they would like to get off the ground is Wonder Woman. For now, we will just have to wait and see.
