DARK HORSE Announces Two TERMINATOR Miniseries And A New Classic STAR WARS Series
New York Comic Con is upon us and the comic book announcements keep rolling along. Dark Horse had several big reveals for new titles and new developments with their regular titles, but three new series are worth pointing out specifically. The publisher announced two new Terminator miniseries as well as a brand new Star Wars book that will take place during the original trilogy.
Dark Horse unveiled Terminator: Salvation: The Final Battle from J. Michael Straczynski which takes place in the far future era of the original Terminator timeline. The only story details revealed about that series is that the antagonist will be a female. Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy will take place in an earlier part of the Terminator timeline. The six-issue series will be written by Dan Jolley with art from his Firestorm collaborator Jamal Igle. That series will see a Terminator come to 1985. The twist is that the resistance can’t send anyone back in time to stop the machine. Just like the original movie, there will be no one there to explain what the unstoppable killer is or what they can do to stop it. Both of those series will kick off in early 2014.
On the Star Wars side of things, a new series set during the original trilogy will be written by Matt Kindt. It will be a 4-issue mini set for the spring. No further details were revealed at this time, but it seems like it will be in a similar vein to Brian Wood’s Star Wars series taking place between Episodes 4 and 5. We’ll probably hear a lot more about this, and other Dark Horse titles, this weekend. What do you think about the latest news?
