Dan Slott’s Prank Was Actually A Teaser
By Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell on Jan 09, 2013 with Comments 0
Dan Slott has returned to Twitter after a short self-imposed exile. The Spider-Man writer signed off Twitter after The Amazing Spider-Man #700 hit shelves and promised to return after Superior Spider-Man #1′s release. Today is that day. After a few housekeeping Tweets, promotions, and welcome backs, the controversial writer Tweeted something that should get some fans excited.
You may remember when the “who is the Superior Spider-Man” fervor swept the web that Slott supposedly let slip the mother of all spoilers in what was supposed to be a direct message to artist Ryan Stegman. Slott said Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 could do something cool with his eyes. That led many to believe that the future Spider-Man would be the Superior Spider-Man. We now know that isn’t the case, but that doesn’t mean Miguel won’t be showing up in the pages of Superior Spider-Man. Slott recently Tweeted the following. You can click the link to see the video:

So Miguel will be popping up in the pages of Superior. Turns out Slott’s prank was just a bit of a premature teaser. Then again, maybe the idea came about because of the initial reader response. That’s all we know for now, but I’m sure we’ll be hearing this hyped as the date approaches. Stay tuned to CBT for updates. What do you think Miguel fans? Does this bit of news please you?
