The CW Gives ARROW A Third Season
With some many superhero movies and TV shows out there it’s hard for one to get a following quite like Arrow has. The show is revered for its amazing stunt work and it’s willingness to drop a DC reference every once in a while. Fans of the show are diehards and were hoping that the show would be picked up for a third season.
Well, if you read the title of the article, you know that the show has been picked up for a third season. The CW announced some early renewals today, and Arrow was on the list. “This season we’ve had great success with our new hit series The Originals paired with Supernatural, giving us our best Tuesday nights in years,” CW President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement about the early renewals. “The Vampire Diaries is No. 2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with Arrow continuing to gain among young men, and Reign growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’m very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they’ll have more great drama to look forward to next season.”
The Arrow cast and crew have teased before that Oliver’s journey on the Island is around a five season arc. If the show continues at the pace, and story telling that it has been, they should have no problem reaching that number and then some. Story lines for the third season aren’t available yet, which isn’t unusual since season two is still going on. However, you can check back here at Comic Book Therapy for the latest.
