CW Developing Teen Titans Raven TV Series
With the final season of Smallville nearing the half way point, The CW has been pushing to find a suitable DC Comics series to take its place. We’ve heard the rumors of Wonder Woman returning to the small screen at some point, but she’s not the only superhoine getting their own series, Teen Titans member, Raven, may be as well.
Variety reports V Co-Executive Producer, Diego Gutierrez, has been writing a series based on the half-demon character for the network. Gutierrez worked on several popular shows including Without a Trace, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Shield.
Could a series revolving around Raven prove to be successful? Attempts to replicate the success of Smallville have so far failed miserably. Aquaman starring Justin Hartley went no further than a pilot order and the network could be facing strong competition from another series featuring a hooded hero, The Cape. Time will tell, but it’s certainly reassuring DC Entertainment has interest in bringing lesser known characters into the live-action realm.
