Colored Pages From Superior Spider-Man #1 And Brutal First Look At Punisher: Nightmare

In Comic Book Resources weekly column with Marvel Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, two pretty interesting previews were unveiled. During the lengthy chat with the EIC, the Marvel shipping schedule for the next big event, Age of Ultron, was discussed. Marvel had learned a few things from AvX, mainly that fans didn’t want to wait too long to see the next issue. Age of Ultron will have an accelerated shipping schedule due to that. Shipping schedules, tie-in comics and even Matt Fraction’s upcoming hurricane Sandy charity issue of Hawkeye were briefly discussed. What was of particular interest were the first two colored pages from Dan Slott and Ryan Stegman’s Superior Spider-Man #1. That book sees a new person taking up the Spider-mantle, but we probably won’t find out who until Amazing Spider-Man #700 (the last issue).

Also revealed in the column were the first look at pages from Scott Gimple and Mark Texeira’s Punisher: Nightmare miniseries. That is a five issue miniseries this January that sees Frank coming face to face with another solider who could possibly be going down the same road as he did. The brutal first look shows Punisher BEATING SOMEBODY UP WITH A CANDLE! That’s pretty intense.
