Big Guardians of the Galaxy news hitting today. Director James Gunn announced this morning he would be making the nine month trip to the UK to start filming and now word breaks that the film has found its lead. According to Deadline, Chris Pratt has landed the big role.
There aren’t a lot of details right now, but Deadline is reporting that Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, and Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt has beat out a long, long list of contenders for the role of Peter Quill, the half-alien, helmet wearing leader of the Guardians better known as Star-Lord. With this opening up the floodgates of casting news and James Gunn taking to his personal Facebook account to leaving a note about his trip to the UK, I’d imagine it’s just a matter of time until we hear about Drax, Gamora, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon. Stay tuned to CBT for more details as they are made available. What do you think of Pratt as Star-Lord?
