The Wal-Mart Facebook page have released two new banners for Zack Synder’s Man Of Steel – featuring Zod (Michael Shannon) and Superman (Henry Cavill) in flight, preparing for battle. Surprisingly, I actually like these two banners. The posters we have gotten over the past week have been in the range of ok to pretty bad, so it’s refreshing to see something of acceptable quality. Anyway, enough of my inane ramblings, check out the banners for yourself below.

You can also spot Will Arnett hanging around the TV reporting van. His part was said to be for a small, undisclosed role. It looks like he may be April‘s camera guy. This means we can probably expect Arnett to play his usual brash, grown-up-frat-guy role. He’ll also probably hit on April. Will Casey have to smack him down? Just pure speculation on my part. What do you think about Fox as O’Neil? Do any of these images change your mind about her taking the role? The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and is scheduled for a June 6th, 2014 release date.

Chuckie Valdez, New Teaser Poster For ‘[REC]4 Apocalypse’; Concludes Franchise

Released by advertising agency AV Squad, two new television spots for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness have been released online. Featuring new footage from the sci-fi actioner and some quotes from critics such as Rolling Stone, check out the commercials below in one video and stay tuned to CBT for my thoughts on the highly-anticipated sequel this weekend.

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

NerdyGeek, Two New Star Trek Into Darkness TV Commercials Surface

We first heard pieces of Hans Zimmer’s Man Of Steel soundtrack in April with the release of the epic second theatrical trailer. Marvel is officially releasing the images and info tidbits, so don’t think they’re spoiler-y. Read on for updates on all the movies:

Thor: The Dark World:

Alan is bringing a grittier, more visceral, more textured patina to the designs of the worlds, and to Asgard in particular. It’s less to chase either Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings — because you’re not going to catch up. But part of the fun of Thor over the other characters is he doesn’t have to stay on Earth. We visit a few of the other realms in this new movie

Captain America: The Winter Soldier:

We weren’t going back to World War II. Cap cannot travel in time. So while Tony can go home to Malibu and Thor goes up to Asgard and Hulk can sort of ride the rails, Cap was stuck. So Cap does stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. because he has nowhere else to go. But he’s not necessarily comfortable there. As you might imagine, somebody who’s spent 70 years in ice, frozen, wakes up and has to fight a bunch of aliens with a bunch of weirdos—he is trying to figure out what his life is.

Guardians of the Galaxy:

Feige confirmed both Saldana as Gamora and Dave Bautista as Drax

Guardians takes place within the continuity of the [other movies] but it’s on the other side of the universe. We’ve always wanted to do a space movie. I’m obsessed with Star Wars, I’m obsessed with Star Trek.

It’s a huge story on a massive canvas. We can take it to all those crazy places as long as all the characters respond in an emotionally truthful way. That’s why I believe people are going to respond to Chris Pratt and to an alien Zoë Saldana—because they did respond to that one time before [with Avatar]. And to a tree and a raccoon who, it is certainly our intention, will steal the whole movie.

Avengers 2:

When it becomes a cameo or Easter egg, [audiences] become less interested in it. If we’re going to add new characters, there’s going to be a reason and they’re going to be a major part of the movie. What’s fun is that the roster shifts. It was always the intention to have a storyline that brought in, obviously, new bad guys and potentially new heroes.

While it’s officially the first movie in Phase Three, we did get a little info on Ant-Man:
Feige stated that casting would get underway toward the end of this year. They’ve had several names in mind, but since the movie has been in the works since Iron Man 1 those actors have came and went.

Frankly, now we have to re-write it to put it a little bit more into the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] because it was written before it existed.
