Agent Burgos, Jim Lee – Q&A Panel At The Amazing Arizona Con 2013

Scott Snyder (Batman, Swamp Thing, American Vampire, untitled Superman project) made a last minute guest appearance in a DC Comics panel via Skype at Amazing Arizona Comic Con this year. He was joined by Scott Lobdell (Teen Titans, Superman) and Kyle Higgins (Nightwing).

Scott Snyder talked about “Death Of The Family”, untitled Superman project with Jim Lee, Swamp Thing business, and ended with some Q&A with the fans.

Mind you, the internet at the convention center was terrible and the skype called was super laggy and the panel room had terrible sound. Nevertheless, Enjoy the video below!

Chuckie Valdez, [EXCLUSIVE] Scott Snyder at Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2013!

Jimmy Jay from Jay Company Comics put up a great event. The venue was bigger than past years because, as you can imagine, this convention keeps getting bigger each year.

There were lots of different panels and activities for all ages.

Jim Lee from DC comics signed a lot of items for the fans that were waiting in line for hours, and also made se sketches for them!

Top Cow president Matt Hawkins was also at the event promoting his awesome series “Think Thank”. Word on the street is that reading this comic book will make you smarter.

The new company Contraband Comics was at the show at full force! Jonathan and Jim Hanna even posed for the camera

Marat Mychaels was also there promoting his awesome comic Blindside. You definitely need to check it out.

There was also a very funny and informative DC Comics New 52 panel. We will have audio of the panel in a few days. Scott Lobdell moderated the panel which included Joshua Hale Fialkov, Brian Buccellato and Kyle Higgins.

CHEW! and Detective Comics New 52 writer John Layman was also at the convention and we were lucky enough to hold his CHOG. it was a surreal experience. CHOGS will be available to the public very soon!

Brian Buccellato, co writer and colorist of The New 52 Flash, and creator of FOSTER was doing sketches and signing comics for his fans, myself included.

And who can’t forget about our amazing and beautiful cosplayers?? They were at full force at the con. Jessica Nigri, Ivy Doomkitty, Monika Lee, Amie Lynn, XX Girls, Aaron Forrester, Justice League Arizona, Arizona Avengers and more attended the event and brought lots of happy smiles.

Agent Burgos, Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2013 Recap

Top Cow, the imprint of Image Comics founded by WITCHBLADE creator Marc Silvestri, will be exhibiting Amazing Arizona Con in Phoenix on January 25 through 27 (booth #409). Matt Hawkins, Top Cow President and creator of the hit new series THINK TANK, will be representing the company, which will be selling two THINK TANK convention exclusives.

The first exclusive is a photo wraparound cover of THINK TANK: MILITARY DOSSIER #1, the behind-the-scenes look at the characters and technology from series by Hawkins and Rahsan Ekedal. The MILITARY DOSSIER #1 variant is limited to 250 copies.

The second THINK TANK convention exclusive is a lithograph by ARTIFACTS and RAVINE artist Stjepan Sejic depicting the series’ hero, David Loren in his natural element of explosions and equations. The exclusive lithograph is limited to 25 copies.

Stan Lee will be signing in the Main Convention Hall, in the Stan Lee Collectibles Booth located near the end of the Artist Alley. Stan Lee will sign ONE item per Autograph Ticket, available through Desert Wind Collectibles. Sorry but no photography of any kind is located in this area; time will be limited, so we can accommodate as many fans as possible. We highly recommend that you purchase in advance for best pricing, and assured availability. The Amazing Arizona Comic Convention just got more amazing! The Mighty 2 Lee’s will be in attendance:

Start the New Year off with the biggest comic creators of all time coming to the Phoenix Convention Center for AMAZING ARIZONA COMIC CON January 25-26-27. The legendary architect of the Marvel Universe, Stan Lee will spend the entire day on Saturday meeting with fans, signing autographs, posing for pictures, and answer questions in an exclusive panel presentation. Stan Lee is best known for creating Spider-Man, The Avengers, X-Men, and more. Though he is 90 years young, this is your best chance to meet this comic book icon, appearing for one day only!

What do you think? Chandler is a pretty cool kid right? I personally think he is doing a great job in the show. When he got shot in one of the episodes, seeing him scream  in pain made me feel like i was the one who got hurt, but don’t tell anyone…hehe

Well, here we have another interview with one of the big stars at Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2012, Rob Liefeld. Yes the creator of X-Force and Deadpool, the same guy that Jessica  interviewed last year and was soo gay for Ryan Reynolds. Well, he still is ladies and gents. They also discuss Star Wars, Robert Kirkman, haircuts and more!

In the panel with Scott Lobdell, Rob mentioned that he might have seen 8 minutes of footage from the  Deadpool movie, which means that the project is not entirely dead. A lot of people are eagerly awaiting for more news on the development of the film, and we will keep you posted!

Agent Burgos, Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2012: The Walking Dead Panel

Rob and Scott went at it a little bit when they were talking about DC and Marvel,  who makes better decisions about  story lines and Scott “magically” predicted the out come of Avengers vs. X-Men, super funny stuff.

Also Rob Liefeld might have talked about the Deadpool movie, and what he might have or have not seen recently..hehehe. He might have confirmed that he has seen or has not seen some footage, that includes Deadpool with his mask on blowing heads off.. again..INTERESTING NEWS….watch the video, its worth it.  Rob Liefeld explains what he thinks of the Deadpool Corps. Again watch the video, a lot of interesting and funny facts are mentioned, and this guys are amazing…CHECK IT OUT!

As you very well know, Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2012 will take place this weekend, and at Comic Book Therapy we are very excited to be part of it again!

The 2011 Amazing Arizona Comic Con was a blast!  We had Robert Kirkman, the cast of The Walking Dead, Todd McFarlane, John Layman and so much fun! And if you dont believe me take a look at the videos and interviews that we did with the help of everyones favorite Jessica Nigri:
