Cartoon Network Yanks BEWARE THE BATMAN From Upcoming Schedule

by

product_wide_bewarethebatman_yhuwjafhg8_Cartoon Network made some waves a while back when it opted to drop the seemingly popular and very well done animated duo of Green Lantern The Animated Series and Young Justice from its schedules. The latter having been the victim of long periods of time between new episodes, causing frustration among fans. The pair were eventually replaced by Teen Titans Go!, a more juvenile approach to the popular team, and a new animated series based on Batman, call Beware The Batman. The series took a much more different approach to the character, both in the story lines and how the Dark Knight looked, using a computer animated style rather than the traditional animation. The series also focused on bringing in lesser known villains, such as Professor Pyg and Anarchy. But it seems that Cartoon Network may be pulling a repeat performance as episodes, both old and new, have been pulled from the television schedule for next weekend.

The news comes from Nick And More (via Bleeding Cool), where they simply tweeted the news. No other info is known at this time. As they state in a later tweet, I’m not expecting the backlash to be as large as it was after they gave Young Justice and Green Lantern the ax. No news has been seen regarding the fate of Teen Titans, but the series was given a second season earlier this year. Of course, keep checking back for more on this one, as it could get interesting. Is this something you are happy to see or are you a fan of the series?
