Bryan Singer Weighs In On That X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Rumor
Last week, after the news broke that X-Men: Apocalypse would be the follow-up to Days of Future Past, the interwebs was set ablaze with new information and rumors regarding the 2016 sequel. One of the biggest rumors that hit was regarding the origins of the big baddie. I won’t go into details about what that rumors entailed, but let’s juts say that he is an alien rather than the mutant we were all expecting (and deserve). Naturally, fans were rather outraged at this idea, but luckily, this may not be the case.
This afternoon, Bryan Singer took to his Twitter account to dispel those rumors, simply stating that the villain will not be an alien. That’s all the information he’d divulge, however.

I don’t know about you, but I’d say this is pretty good news, assuming it’s actually true. In their defense, Fox and Singer have never been the kind to be super secretive or try and mislead fans, a la JJ Abrams. We found out today that Singer would be back to direct the Days of Future Past follow-up and that the film will take place in the 1970′s, so we can expect the cast from First Class to be at the forefront of that film. No word on whether any of the cast from Singer’s films will take part or not. That may depend on what unfolds in Days of Future Past next year.
Days of Future Past stars Ian McKellen,Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore. Joining them are a few newcomers in Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage and Fan Bingbing.
