Bryan Singer Teases The FOUR HORSEMEN In New Script Pic

1400759068-10apocalyp-oI think it’s fair to say that most fans were quite please with the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past and the fixing of many of the issues that have plagued the series, almost since day one. Granted, things still aren’t as perfect as they could be, but it’s a helluva goo way to turn things around. One of the people we have to thank for this is actually one of the people who helped create the problem, Bryan Singer. As we know, he directed the first two films in the franchise and recently returned to helm the acclaimed Days of Future Past. Towards the end of production of that film, he revealed that he’d be returning to direct the follow-up, X-Men: Apocalypse, which has already set a release date in 2016. Since then, Singer, when he hasn’t been involved in scandalshas been hard at work on the latest film, along with Fox’s go-to scribe Simon Kinberg.

This afternoon, Singer took to one of his favorite social media venues in Instagram, where he revealed an image of the script for Apocalypse. Now, this is big in a few ways. First, it confirms that Singer will still have a big part in the film, which was being questions due to his issues with a rather nasty lawsuit. Second, if you look at the bottom, right side of the image, you’ll see the words that will make many nerds quite happy: The Four Horsemen. In the closing scene of Days of Future Past, we saw a young En Sabah Nur using his abilities to assemble the pyramids of Egypt. In the background, we saw the famed Four Horsemen assembled on a hill top. It shouldn’t come as too big a surprise to see this included in the script, but it certainly is nice to get confirmation.

Now, we don’t know which characters will be included in the fearsome foursome, but there have been several rumors floating around that Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender would be on of the horsemen. A second, and separate, rumor suggested that Wolverine would be included. With the timelines completely altered, just about anyone could show up. We do know that the film will take place in the 1980’s and that Quicksilver, who literally stole the show in Days of Future Past, will likely have an expanded role in the film and that Singer would like to see Gambit, who would be played by Channing Tatum, and Nightcrawler join the team. Simon Kinberg has also stated that we will see characters from the modern films- Cyclops, Jean Grey, etc.- would also be included. Not sure how that will work out however.

What do you think of this news? Which characters would you like to see play the Four Horsemen? Sound off below!
