Comic Book Therapy’s own Michael Worthan is currently attending Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim panel at Wondercon. Already knowing the supernatural superhero team Justice League Dark was confirmed to have a film in process with him directing, the story and characters involved were the main questions everyone was wondering about from the start. During the panel, Del Toro, by way of Michael, gave an update on the film and what to expect so far:

Del Toro has one more movie and then he’s hoping to get a screen writer soon to be announced for Justice League Dark to write said screenplay and the main plan is to have Constantine as the lead character in it.

He’s ecstatic to have the ability to do the movie etc and he’s looking forward to using Etrigan and Deadman. According to him, Constantine will be the lead and will be blond. Also, a mention that Swamp Thing will have found peace and that Jason “Etrigan the Demon” Blood will be a knight of Camelot.

Del Toro  is saying that Crimson Peak is his next project and straight after that he will concentrate on Dark Universe whose script is not finished but he does confirm that the writer’s bible for the film is.

As it was speculated that Deadman and Constantine would be involved, it’s great to know that it is confirmed straight from the man himself. Etrigan also in the movie? This is shaping up to be a highly anticipated film from Del Toro. Who else would you like to see a part of the team? We will keep you updated when more news follows
